Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

The object of this project is Ching-Shuei football team which is a student's club established in 1978. The aim of

founding Ching-Shuei football team is to give Ching-Shuei's students and Ching-Shuei Community a chance to

experience football spirit and community spirit.

2. Summary of Our Project

This project describes the origin of Ching-Shuei football team. Further, it shows the hard work of football trainers and trainees. Above all, the team runs within limited budget but has been playing championship for many years. When doing this project, we realized that this local football team had played a great role in our school and community. We will illustrate the performance of Ching-Shei football team with pictures and diagrams on this website.

We used a desktop PC with Intel processor, 512 MB DDR2 RAM and an 80 GB hard disk. Two recoders. Three digital

camera. One laser printer. One scanner. We often used the Internet in our school and sometimes used ADSL at home

because we did not a good computer network in the school.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

? Technical problems: We had many problems with interviewing football team members. We had no experience in

interviewing people so that we were very nervous. Thanks to our tutors, they helped us rehearse the interview.

? Typing problems: We heard the content of the interview repeatedly. It was a hard job for primary school

students. We spent much time typing the scripts of the interviews. Due to this we were able to type fast after

doing this project.

? Cups collection: We searched the entire school for the missing cups which were won by Ching-Shuei football

team. Many documents and cups were disappeared and destroyed because Ching-Shuei Primary School suffered

earthquakes many times.

? Creating website: We were not familiar with creating an animated website although we had some concepts about

making a website. In addition, one of our team members was sick so that she quitted the project. These problems

made us become mired in creating the website.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

I found it was a difficult job to unify others’ opinions and their works so that teamwork skills and leadership

capabilities were very important for a leader. Cooperation played a significant role when doing this project. I was so proud that my partners could work together

on this project. After this competition, I learned that one could not refrain a job until s/he finished it and teamwork was very

important. I really liked the feelings that we worked together thanks to my team members. After doing this project, I realized that I needed to make steady efforts to a difficult project in order to make

a successful work. I felt cooperation was very important. One could not finish all works by himself. I thought making a website was

like playing a baseball game which was needed all players to contribute. I learned many skills in computer and teamwork during this period. I felt so sorry for losing the chance to

fulfill the project because of my illness.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

? This project is combined with the Grade 1-9 Curriculum and School-based Curriculum. Since researching the project, we have constantly pursued the goal of combining IT products and curriculum. We

have learned how to employ IT products and how to get along with our team when doing this project. The Health and Physical Educationhe curriculum of the Grade 1-9 Curriculum was focused in this project. We

realized Ching-Shuei football team put the spirit of the Curriculum into practice well. We thought we had tried our best to keep a record for our school football team. Moreover, we may interact

other people to care about our football team and to know the power of the Internet. ? What methods did we use to contact with other people? In order to fulfill this project we interviewed many people knowing about Ching-Shuei football team such as

principals, coaches, teachers, students and students’ parents. We coordinated various information about this

football team in order to give an overview of the football team to the world. We hope that we can give Ching-Shuei

football team a chance to be known by the whole world through this website. ? discovery ?lesson and suprise We found that Ching-Shuei football team practiced hard and run without any finance support by the school or

other organizations. Despite in this difficult condition, the football team still won many victories in football

matches. On the contrary, we were properly resourced by the school so that we should work harder and harder.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

In order to fulfill this project we interviewed many people knowing about Ching-Shuei football team such as

principals, coaches, teachers, students and students’ parents. We coordinated various information about this

football team in order to give an overview of the football team to the world. We hope that we can give Ching-Shuei

football team a chance to be known by the whole world through this website.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We found that Ching-Shuei football team practiced hard and run without any finance support by the school or other

organizations. Despite in this difficult condition, the football team still won many victories in football

matches. On the contrary, we were properly resourced by the school so that we should work harder and harder.
