Global SchoolNet is pleased to announce the 2005 GSN Online Shared Learning Champions!

Congratulations to a stellar cast of of deserving nominees!

With great difficulty, and after lengthy deliberations, our Board of Directors is pleased to announce the following GSN Award Recipients.

  • Janet Barnstable from Give Something Back International, Sarasota, Florida, United States is the 2005 recipient of the GSN Online Shared Learning Award for An Educator in the U.S.A. Janet received a check for US$2,500 and a trip to the National Education Computing Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. June 25-30, 2005
     
  • Rene De Vries from De Wadden, Haarlem, Noord Holland, Netherlands is the 2005 recipient of the GSN Online Shared Learning Award for An Educator outside the U.S.A. Rene received a check for US$2,500 and a trip to the National Education Computing Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. June 25-30, 2005
     

In addition, the GSN Board of Directors is pleased to recognize the following finalists as exemplary educators who have made important contributions to the field of online telecollaboration. Each finalist received a check for US$250 and a plaque.

  • Brenda Dyck from Calgary, Alberta, Canada as An Educator outside the U.S.A.  
  • Marsha Goren from Petach Tikva, Israel, Israel as An Educator outside the U.S.A.  
  • Karen Kliegman from Albertson, New York, United States as An Educator in the U.S.A.  
  • Stephanie Moore from St. Louis, Missouri, United States as An Educator in the U.S.A.  
  • Jennifer Wagner from Corona, California, United States as An Educator in the U.S.A.  

In addition, the GSN Board of Directors is pleased to honor the contributions of the following teachers. Each teacher will receive a plaque commemorating their achievements in online collaborative learning.

  • Adrian Bruce from Ballina, NSW , Australia as An Educator outside the U.S.A.  
  • Natalya Hamidova from Karshi, Kashkadarya, Uzbekistan as An Educator outside the U.S.A.  
  • Morey Norkin from Saga-Ken, Japan as An Educator outside the U.S.A.
