Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

The Kluang District is a district in Johor, Malaysia. Kluang district is one of two landlocked districts in Johor, the other being Segamat. Kluang was founded in 1915 as the administrative capital of Johor by the British. It is located in the centre of the state and is within 90 minutes of all major urban areas of Johor. Kluang, combined with Batu Pahat, encompasses central Johor with a market catchment of over 700,000. Over the 20th century, Kluang's economy transitioned from rubber to palm oil

2. Summary of Our Project

THE PROJECT ABOUT KLUANG DISTRICT. THE PROJECT MAINLY TO INTRODUCE KLUANG STATE IN MALAYSIA TO AROUND THE WORLD. THE PROJECT LISTED A FEW FAMOUS PLACES IN KLUANG TO VISIT. IT SHALL PROMOTE KLUANG AS TOURISM PLACE.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

THE PROJECT ALLOW US TO GET KNOW THE HISTORICAL LANDMARK OF OUR OWN HOMETOWN. LEARNING OF HISTORICAL PLACES WILL ALLOW US TO IDENTIFY MANY VALUABLE PLACES IN KLUANG. OUR TEAM WORK TOGETHER TO COLLECT ALL THE INFORMATIONS IN DIFFERENT RESOURCES LIKE LIBARARY BOOKS, AND INTERNET.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

INTERNET

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Team members of the project played a few roles to represent our local communities and the ambassadors to introduce the audience to the world about the KLUANG. Team members acted as spokespersons for our project online by creating our website and the project related pass on social networking site. Team members act as ambassadors and spoke persons in persons by presenting our project through several presentations and survey within different age groups.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

the project has already started to give impact on regenerating the lost charm of Kluang which had proved to be a successful one. Our project also gives big impact in to promoting kluang by performing workshops at school level.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Local members like parents, NGO, school ex-students club, and school parents teacher association contributed ideas and volunteers to review our project. They also give some opinion to improve the project qualities.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

The interesting discoveries we had learn from this project is the finding of data.The data is very useful for our school organisation to organised different activities during celebrate earth day celebration at school level. Involvement of community give project team members learn lot regarding perverseness of nature.
