County is in the lower hilly area, lying in the territory in the northwest, southeast lower, consisting of shallow-hill and low hill. It is a subtropical humid monsoon climate zone, with rich heat, abundant rain and long frostless period, which is good for the growth of several crops. This place with spectacular mountain scenery bred unique and rustic folk customs.

2. Summary of Our Project

The focus of this webpage-making competition is “Wanan Primary School on the move”, aim to make students learn about the changes and advance of school, realize that the urban-rural gap shorts with time, understand that compulsory education has a basic balance. Only in this way can students really learned and useful to the society. At the same time, through this topic, students knew that celebrities paid a lot to get success, so as to help the students to conquer the frustration, stimulate their learning enthusiasm, and lay a solid foundation in order to realize the great Chinese dream. The activity enhanced the ability to collect and compile information, communication skills and the sense of team work of the team members.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:21-50%

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:1

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:dedicated connection

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:4-6

E. Additional comments concerning your computer and/or Internet access (Optional):

School set up a new computer classroom with accessing 50M fiber-optic networks that the internet speed is fast. But recently, school faced the assessment of teaching activities and management, and intensely occupied with student’s studies, we had to take a short break to collect information.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Feeling awkward: At the beginning, there were a lot of works to do, we became very worried, didn’t know where to start. Under the instruction of teacher, we got used to it and got things straight. Time limited: Three students in team are in Grade Two this year. They have more lessons and are stressed. So we have to collect materials, write papers on weekends. Lack of experience: Although this is the second time we participated in webpage-making competition, our computer skill has a tendency to decline over time. There were always times in process we could not manage this. And also, it was a mission impossible for us to make an English version web site with only a modest grasp of the language. So we had to ask Talent&Story Company’s staffs for help. Lack of IT knowledge: The mountain is lack of computer hardware, and the members are lack of knowledge, but it is lucky that school administrators make room for the computer in the office; they also provide us with a laptop to complete the project. Instructor had training for the members who will take part in CyberFair, to guide players to find information online, learned related technology about web production.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We benefit a lot in this game. Through the efforts of more than a month, we collected the basic data together, despite the web page was very bad at the beginning, after repeated revisions, we finally finished it, looking at our own hand-made page, everyone was happy, although this was not the final work, we enjoyed ourselves in the whole process, we are tired and happy in the process, if there are opportunities in the future, we will never miss. We believe that there is a harvest to pay. Through the making of project “Wanan Primary School on the move”, we benefit a lot, I think we this generation of young students should have a wide range of hobbies and elegant taste; at the same time, we should cherish the youth to study hard, in order to achieve the dream of the great Chinese. This time we feel the deepest is that people is our best teachers.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

The book knowledge is limited after all, we benefit a lot to experience website-building, through hands-on experience, we knew why he persisted his dream, although experienced all kinds of hardships, eventually succeeded, he is our study example.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

In the thematic activities, students represented the angel of Wanan primary school to introduce Zhang Hongwan to audiences around the world. We mainly acted as the amateur reporter, mainly to find information and interviews, and visiting the character at weekend, in the interview process, lets the student take the opportunity to strengthen cooperation and train ability, let more people understand the changes and advance of Wanan Primary School, so that they learn the connotation of school.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

During the whole process of making project, we had fully felt how tough a school changes, which the education unconsciously received important value from the local and school leaders. What that tells me is that we have a responsibility and a duty to public our school. tudents use their spare time every day to collect and collate information, consume a lot of physical strength and energy, but they never give up studying. Through this activity, each student has improved the IT knowledge, enhanced the information processing ability.

During the process of information collection and interviews, we got support and help by many warm-hearted people: administrator teacher signed up online for us, encouraged us and helped us solving communicating problems. Teacher brainstormed for collecting information and actively contact computer classroom for searching information and text typing. School leaders provide active coordination to offer convenience as we need.

Before taking part in webpage-making project, we have little know about the changes and advance of our school. But only now do we know school is so beautiful until we took time and stopped to enjoy campus. Also one day, school master came and took us to the dormitory attic to have a bird's-eye view on school. We hope that the more people understand school changes by our efforts to promote.
