1. Description of Our Community
Baiguo Mt. is located at the east of Yuanlin Township, Changhua County. It is one part of Bagua Mt. Tableland. It takes less than 10 minutes by car to reach the Yuanlin Township center and it is a good place to have leisure and keep fit. Baiguo Mt. once was famous for many kinds of fruits and water source, and it is named as “Baiguo Mt.”. It is also the passage of Yuanlin to Tsaotun Town of Nantou County. Therefore, there are many unique trails. So far, it is a good sport ground for people living in Yuanlin or nearby. Since it owns abundant of natural ecological resources, quiet rest space, combing the relevant source of Sanshan National Scenic Area, the Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail has become the complete important routes for exercise, travelling and hiking in Yuanlin area. According to the investigation of Changhua Environmental Education Promotion Association, we know that there are more than 100 kinds of plants in the Longding ancient path. Its rich and multicomponent ecological environment makes it a good place for mountain climbing and cycle racing, and it is also a good place for Taiwanese idioms teaching, ecology learning, Sakura and tung flower appreciating.
2. Summary of Our Project
The Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail in Linzai Street is a natural ecological resource place with both history and recreational functions. People from township office and local government agencies often come here for activities. Some ecological teaching activities are also held here. People from other townships also come here to enjoy this hiking trail which was developed by our ancestors. Today, some local residents of Yuanlin Township and other townships are unfamiliar with this trail. It is indeed a green ecological treasury and is filled with the wisdom of the ancestors. We hope that all kinds of sightseeing resource like the Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail can be promoted through the Cyberfair project, all kinds of publicity and the on-site visit. We hope what we did can motivate more amusing and interesting activities, such as star fruit and longan sightseeing season. We expect more and more people can know “Linzai Street-Yuanlin Township”- a good place to take leisure- “Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail” after our hard reporting.

Our Computer and Internet Access: (1) The external network of our school is 100Mb optical-fibre link which can be linked with CHC. (2) The bandwidth main line of the school internet is1Gb, and the branch line is100Mb. (3) Most of the computes at home are ADSL, and they work through the community network. (4) There are 4 computer rooms in our school. We made use of the lunch break time and the holidays to collect, sort out and compile the information, and edited the webpage content and website setting up. (5) Use the sharing storage space function of the cloud of school server to share the dairy, experiences and the integrated data of the group members.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Problems We Had To Overcome: We summarized the problems we faced during this Cyberfair project. First, because the team members are from two classes, it was difficult to bring them together. Then, we experienced difficulty in selecting the theme category, the formation of the concept framework, the task distribution, the time progress, and the use of the technology media in webpage making. Thanks to these difficulties, we learned how to solve the problems, and the progress is stated as below: (1)Time,(2) Category,(3)Running against the time,(4)The issue of framework concept,(5) Comprehensive organization sorting out: by using all kinds of science technology and media: “We Are One Team” are students from fifth grade of primary school. We have had the related curricular of computer information since third grade. Therefore, we have basic skills in information operation. We upload the data collected at ordinary times and the schedule after the study to the space of the cloud of school server. Then we share the ideas and experiences with each other. Therefore, it’s not very hard to upload and sort out the data. However, as for webpage making and website setting and making, we know less of them and we still need to learn more about them. We encountered many difficulties. We have no concept of art edition, and don’t know how to edit the content of the webpage, therefore, we dispute over those problem sometimes. The process is really difficult, but it makes us understand how to learn from each other, how to tolerate each other. It makes us grow.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Through the on-site investigation, visiting and surveying on Baiguo Mt., we have learned one common concept, and that is to actively popularize the true, the good and the beauty of the Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail - a good place for leisure of Linzai Street, and to make people from Yuanlin Town, Changhua County, the whole country or even the people all over the world know the paths of Baiguo Mt. Fortunately, all of us can seriously concentrate on study which is about our hometown, and willing to paying efforts to learn. Moreover, the support and assistance from the director, teachers and parents make us enjoy the “Joy Slide” happily. We hope that through our promotion, the paths of Baiguo Mt. can be pushed at the peak of the slide, and slide into the team of sightseeing resources, even into the international team of sightseeing. To sightseeing of Yuanlin Township, to Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail, “We are One Team” did the best~!
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
* Career planning and lifelong learning This Cyberfair project make us know the evolution of the local sightseeing resources, and then we know how to study and care about the development of the local resource. * Expression, communication and sharing During the study of Cyberfair project, we should learn to comminute with each others about the ideas, share the different concepts, and learn how to express ourselves and share the ideas in the special report. * Respect, caring and team work During this study, every member has its own task. We should cooperate with each other to finish the Cyberfair project, and we should learn the difference from each other and understand other members. * Planning, organization and carrying out Through studying the organization and design of the framework, and discussing and compiling the interview outline, our planning and organizing ability is developed. Through interviewing the town mayor, local personages and local members of the association, our ability of interviewing elders promoted. Finally, we sort the data of the interview and write down what they see and hear there, so that this beautiful sightseeing resource can be known to more people. * Applying the science and technology and the information Cultivate the ability of searching all kinds of information online, and the skills of using computer software to upload the data, make webpage and set up the website. * Actively exploring and studying Through this Cyberfair project, the abilities of finding problems, solving problems and promoting the ability to solving the problems are cultivated. It encourages us to carry forward the learning spirit of bravely exploration. * Independent thinking and solving the problems It trains us to use our own ability or seek the proper assistance for problem solving when we come against the problems.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?
Most of the electronic technology equipments used during this study are borrowed from school. The functions of communication equipment are important. By using these 3C communication equipments, our study planning can be smoothly and correctly carried out, and the study results can be presented in details to make everyone know. 3C electronic products,Desktops,Notebook,Printer,Digital camcorder,Digital camera,Smart phone,Software,Office2010,PhotoImpact x3 Image editing ,Dreamweaver cc,CuteFTP Files transmission Intellectual Property Rights (1) Paper information The paper information of this Cyberfair project was mostly provided by Mr. Ming-chuan Huang and Mr. Chin-tsun Li from Changhua environmental education promotion association, and some are provided by Culture and Tourism Section, Yuanlin Township Office. As for these information, we classified and sorted them out after carefully reading and understand them, and then we wrote down the ideas and marked the data source in the content clearly. (2) Internet data collection (3) Photos, records and videos 'We Are One Team' uses the digital camera and smart phone to take photos and make videos for each visit and interview, and present them on the web page after approval of the interviewee. Most of the photos are shot in Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail all by ourselves and a few of them are searched on line, and we will mark the source of them on the web page. The charts, photos and videos on this Cyberfair project are made under the guidance of the Director Cao and teachers. We cooperated together to compile and edit the photos, copy out the typescripts and edit the films. These achievements owe to our hard learning.
2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.
The successfully completion of this Cyberfair project is not only due to active engagement and research of the members from “We Are One Team”, we are also grateful to the support of Mr. Chin-kun Chang from Yuanlin Township Office, Mr. Ming-chuan Huang, Mr. Yen-chuan Chen, Mr. Chin-tsun Li from Changhua environmental education promotion association, and Mr. Chin-hsiung Weng from Guang Tian Temple. And there are many warm parents who provided many different ideas and thinking directions, which were regarded as the greatest motivation for us to forge ahead. Thank the people who provided supports to us during the whole study!
3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?
This Cyberfair project considers how to make the old scenic spot to the new highlight, and it makes the sightseeing issue “Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail” popular again. Our Cyberfair project is based on the topic of sightseeing and it is carried out by means of interview. Besides collecting the relevant information on line and from the books and then sorting them out into articles, we also went to the spot and investigated the features of the landscape. From the on-the-spot investigation, interview of the relevant person, simulated planning of each travelling and organization of activity promotion, we discussed the past, present and future of the Linzai Street. Every time we went back to school, we always collected and analyzed the relevant data and kept the research log. This accumulated our sincere belief bit by bit. We hope it can be spread through our teeny-weeny power, and make people from all over the world know that we have many intellectual ecological trails which are available for people to keep fitness and leisure. Through the main purpose of attending this CyberFair, to make use of the infinite network, hoping all kinds of local sightseeing items or business organizations all over the world can be promoted, and the whole world can be linked with each other. Then the vision of the common people can be wider and more open. We hope this old spot “Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail” can become more lively through this Cyberfair project and can become the new highlight which is well-known.
4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
Our Cyberfair project has been successfully completed. Besides the active engagement and hard work of our group members, most of all we should be thankful to support of Mr. Chang and the Culture and Tourism Section from Yuanlin Township Office, Mr. Ming-chuan Huang, Mr. Yen-chuan Chen and Mr. Chin-tsun Li from Changhua Environmental Education Promotion Association, and Mr. Chin-hsiung Weng and Mr. Yu-hung Chang from Guang Tian Temple. In addition, there are also many warm parents and common people who provide us the ideas and powers to complete this Cyberfair project, and they are the best support groups of “'We Are One Team'” and they are the reason why we forge ahead ceaselessly. In the process of this study and discussion, we know how to be grateful and grown-up.
5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)
~ Discoveries~ From this Cyberfair project, we found that after the attentively input and transform from the workers of Yuanlin Township Office and Changhua environmental education promotion association, the Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail was refreshed. The longest slide existing for many years was turned into the “Joy Slide”. The common Tengshan Trail was added with Taiwanese idioms. All kinds of ecological pictures are shown in the gallery. And we also learned the triple-lap words. They show the vitality and vigor of the Tengshan Trail. We also attend the tung blossom season and Chinese chestnut season sightseeing activity which are matched and outspreaded with the trail landscape. We also proposed the idea of star fruit season and star fruit industrial museum to the town mayor, and hope that this amiable and vivacious Baiguo Mt. Hiking Trail can attract more people here as the good place to keep fit and learn the ecology. ~ Lessons~ From this Cyberfair project, we have learned the importance of team work and have known that the completion of one task can’t leave the communication and negotiation with others. The important elements for communication and negotiation is learning from each other, understanding each other and sharing the experience with each other. If someone cares about the inequality assignment of the work or especially love to fight for showing himself, the proceeding and schedule of the study content will be influenced. Therefore, the cooperation of the group is based on the mutual tolerance and sincere sharing of each group member, and then the real communication and cooperation can be done, and the consensus of the group members can be built up. Finally, the Cyberfair project can get a chance to be finished effectively.
