2. Summary of Our Project
WeiAiLun Academy, located in Changhua City, is the first day-care center for the people with dementia. It is built to provide service for people who are over 50 years old, suffering from dementia, and living nearby Changhua City. WeiAiLun Academy aims to help look after the elder with dementia in the daytime so that their family have the time to take a break or go out to work. In addition, WeiAiLun Academy hopes that the elder can receive professional and perfect care, interact and learn with each other, and then retard their condition of dementia. In this way, the elder with dementia can age locally and actively.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
First, we faced the pressure of time. As high school students, we should seize every possible moment to work on our project. Second, the technical challenges troubled us quite a lot. Thanks to Mr. Huang's guide and advice, we finally built our project website. Third, the interviews were new to all of us. We had to discuss together on the questionnaires and assign each member a job before the interview. Fourth, we should care much for the elders' privacy and try not bother them too much.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Aging society has been an international concern these years. In our project, we hope to make people aware of this issue and to get well-prepared for it.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Our activities and research for the International Schools CyberFair project encouraged us to learn the way of communicating with team members, the importance of teamwork, the use of technology and the ability of independent thinking. These are also the goals of the Grade 1-9 Curriculum Guidelines in Taiwan. We have collected information from the Internet and organized it to develop our questionnaires and build our project website together. All these are related to the curriculum requirement of the language course, the computer course, and social studies. Hence, by participating in International Schools CyberFair, we achieved some of the major learning goals of the Grade 1-9 Curriculum Guidelines.
