1. Description of Our Community

Meinung is located in Kaohsiung City , with profound Hakka culture and famous scenery in Kaohsiung in the south of Taiwan Hakka administrative region , it is one of the famous Hakka Cultural District 'In the south of ChouShui River'.It is also one of the country's famous Hakka area.

2. Summary of Our Project

This is an introduction about Meinung touristic information. It tells you Meinung gourmet, history, attractions and local Hakka culture. We hope through this report to let everyone think of Meinung magnificent scenery, characteristics in Hakka , evoking the Meinung dreams of Hakka in everyone's heart.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Members were not familiar with each other: In the beginning, were not in the same class, so inevitably there will be a little awkward between us. Questionnaire design: We have design a questionnaire in the first,but on our first trip to there,nobody wanted to take the time to fill in the blanks of the questionnaire for us.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

At first,the director of the school library told us that there is a competition which is called CyberFair,and then we joined in. Between the time,we learned how to cooperate with each other,although we met some problems,we overcame them through the discussion. Finally,we think it is our pleasure to take part in the competition because we have learned a lot.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

This competition fits in our Elective Courses which is about programing computer codes. We learned how to cooperate with each other and communicates about our problem.Furthermore,we also learned to use Photoimpact,Dreamweaver,and other software. We learned about how to communicate with people,and how to overcome the problems we have met. To know about Meinong,we has spend about 3 to 5 days to there and asked some question from the officer there. Our school has take part in the competition since 2007 ,we think that the competition has become routine for our school. During the process,we did aerial photography by DJI Phantom Vision Plus helicopter to catch the videos and photos from the sky. Yes. We can use computers to do with software,not tranditional teaching by teachers.We think if we get tranditional education,we cannot learn the things we learn this time because we only learn the knowledge from the paper books through teachers.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

1. ASUS laptop 2. OLYMPUS Digital Camera 3. Tape Recorders 4. Dreamweaver CS4,Photoimpact X3,Corel Video Studio X5,Mozilla Firefox 5. The DM of Mainung and Magazines 6. Orel Interview 7. DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus The paper books helped me to know more about,we consider that the books even instead of the conversions we took with local. The software helped us to converter the type of files and edit the picture. The software,such as Dreamweaver CS4,Photoimpact X3,Filazilla Client were donated by schools. I think the most valuable tool we used in our tools is DJI Phantom 2 vision Plus. We think the most helpful technologies we use is how to use Dreamweaver CS4,its codes is so complicated that we have to learn how to read them.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We got some of the information we receive through asking from the local and officers there. First,our school sent the notification to Meinung District Office to tell them we would have oral interview with them. We also got the information through asking from the local by oral questioning.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our product between school and Meinung has make a balance.We think our product may make a difference,but not a large difference. Our members have skimmed the product,and they approved it.Because of the information we got and the web pages we edit,even most people can understand what our web pages want to talk about,and we make sure that the web browsers can understand what we want to express easily. When we took part in this competition,we were not came from the same class,but through our communication,we become familiar in little time.When we accomplished the web pages,the browsers will contain with the members who edit the web pages and the director of the library,and a foreigner who have lived in our country for long time,and very familiar about our culture. We consider our web site can help tourists to know more about Meinung culture and know what dishes can they have in Meinung district.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

During publishing our product,the seniors help us to operate the software and teach us how to read the codes of the web pages.Furthermore,the director of library offer the software we need during the operating. When we publish the web,the director and the seniors gave us the advices about how to arrange the information we have. When we translated the articles,the foreigners who is came from England also help us to correct the articles.
