Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

A Long Yi is a trail between Taitung County hsuhai from Pingtung County South Field. There are many beautiful scenery and local monuments, For example, Guanyin nose and nasal Peony two of prominent seacoast. The rocks has collapsed by the seawater and turned to a sleek southland in coastline. In the coastline we can see a protected species “Green Turtle” . Because Pingtung County and Taitung County always be ignore, we hoped that people can find the value of it by A Long trail.

2. Summary of Our Project

I usually heard a place that people always talk about named A LONG TRAIL . But we didn’t understand the trail will disappeared or buried. We decided to explore the trail in person and found the answer why we want to know there is becoming disappear. We really feel that we can’t belittle advantage when we were walking by A LONG TRAIL and known why we need this trail.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

When we went to there,we thought we coulden't go to the final. But we did it finally. When we were walking, we want to give up because it was too tierd! When we went go the top, we saw the beautifal view. We just thought it was worthy.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

This is the first touch of special topic about old person's live. From we don't know how to do it, and begin searching information, and went to visit the old people, the process had many funny things. Although we didn't know what can we talk with them, the volunteer lead us, and also know their family background and lifestyle. And we also found that two of our meat are good friends.

After the interview, we started to use the info to make the pages. Although the process had many problem, the page forming slowly. And when we finished this. We are so happy that we couldn't say anything. We spend much time making this page, so we really learned many things. This us really a good experience!

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

By this competition, we not only learn the team work's spirit, but also exert what we learned in the class. Because there are many works have to do this time, we allotted the works.

Although we first join the competition, we can learn more things from this experiences, and we saw and to the volunteers and old people, let us have more chances to touch the outsiders. And we also know there are many people need help in this world! If we could help them, just do it!

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We went there in person to find the explore, and we take the questionnaires to the people who lives there. We want to let everyone know the trail, so we did this pages. We wanna people know we have this beautifal place and we should protact it.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

We think nothing is improtant than the nature. Maybe develop can be more convinient,but the nature will also be destroied. We really do not want to see that pretty view disappeared.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We went there by ourself, because we want to keep there. It is a place of our country, nobody can damage it. We chatted with the people living there, and we were touching with their words.
