Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Our 'Local Community' is: “New Image Theater Group” located at Banqiao 435 Art Center, with company address: 3F, No. 12, Lane 2, Alley 50, Bai Ren Street, Xindian District, New Taipei City. Their rehearsal space is located at No. 435, Zhongzheng Road, Banqiao District, New Taipei City (435 Art Center, Rehearsal Space). Many people want to visit them, it is necessary to make sure they are available; otherwise it is easily to fail to achieve our wants then. In addition, New Image has created a new community center “New Heart Group” for those slowly-fly angels, assisting them to perform on the stage to show their efforts and results. We felt deeply moved!

2. Summary of Our Project

Our topic study plan summary: Our topic name is: Promise a Sunny Dream for Taiwanese Acrobatic, mainly in the description of the “New Image Theater Group” their acrobatic skills and how to apply acrobatics on performing show. Leader Wang has made a wish that hope Taiwanese Acrobatic can stand up to the world stage, and be brightly shining like sun shines.

Our Internet environment: Our school has two computer classrooms. Students can use for a total of 70 computers. Almost all in wireless Wi-Fi environment, class teachers are equipped with laptop. Our research team got together in the school time to gather information, organized photos, and used the winter vacation time for website data layout completion.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Full attendance discussion not possible; complete the progress by division of workFor us, it is difficult to process complete study and complete the site task. Because we are all Junior high school students, it is difficulties to gather all together. Team members are dispersedall grades, we cannot use early study time. Also during holidays, some team members need schoolwork tutoring, and therefore we had to take advantage of the lunch break to sit together.However, there are some things in the class at noon; someone still cannot always participate in the discussion. Teachers said just two weeks before the exams, we should not get together. Only Monday and Tuesday lunch break are available for discussion. After all, it is most important key factor to have best division of work to achieve the work, for the fast and the bestquality articles. After obtaining all kinds of information, we start to write. Since time is running out, fortunately we assign the work and complete the schedule in sequence, so progress is verywell!

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Experience learned and Motto:At the beginning, we are not aware a very clear situation. We learn to know what the “New Image Theater Group” has engaged in from their official website. We have started to draw acrobatic troupe picture, began to observe the process and understand the direction of “New Image TheaterGroup”, and then study the acrobatics historical data, discussions, organization. It is the most difficult to establish from nothing. Also, when we go to enjoy the acrobatic drama, we also require parents to accompany. Grasp every together hour, we use the time before the show time, discuss questionnaire content, and we have gradually know what is doing research. Everyone is like a point, and the task is a line, so that data discuss and completion is a surface. After completed the task, such a rare experience will add a lot of living memories in Junior High School time.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Unicycle Teaching: Because team member Yang Jie had participated in unicycle societies when she was an Elementary student, she has a unicycle. She is considered as an assistant when experiencing acrobatic. Due to limited time, we use spare time for those members who had no time to go to experience can also practice the unicycle. During winter vacation period, we had successfully taught Chen Ye to ride a unicycle. Some more high-level unicycle skills are required teamwork to complete.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

Project study plan and the use of information technology 1.Telephone- Communication and for activities related matters and contact with respondents. 2.Email- Transfer information, contact for activities related messages. 3.Internet- Use Internet for browsing previous winning works. Search the “New Image Theater Group” related reports and data. Use internet as platform to share and discuss information or ideas between members. Surf the “New Image Theater Group” official website. 4.Computer, Notebook- Gather information to share with the group to discuss the formation of a consensus. And use all kinds of software applications to make up pictures, sort out texts, statistics and other data and integrated into web patterns. 5. Printer- Print out visit outline, network data, questionnaires, interview notices and other related information. 6. Portable hard drive, network drive- Store personal webpage content transcript, lesson learned and so on. 7. Smartphone- Shooting usually research and visits, video record access. 8. Recorder- Interview recordings to help access draft order. 9. Computer Software- PhotoImpact, SharePointDesigner, Word, Excel, Ftp, IE, etc.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Watch Drama: On November 26 bought tickets to see the Acrobatic children's drama performances-Energy FUN the Earth. Enter the backstage to know their preparation before show. Enjoy to watch the acrobatics combined with children drama.

Field Survey: On December 7 and December 14, we went to 435 Art Center, classroom of New Image Theater Group, experienced acrobatics courses. We learned to ride a unicycle, bricklayer, and bouncing bed.

Learning experience: Performance and Arts Teacher Lin You Xuan, and Teacher Ge Yun Wen, especially instruct the stage body language, body language of still sculpture and environmental sculpture.

Interview: Through interview with the Leader Wang Guanghua, Coach Kong Fan Wei, and Coach Yang Yi Quan for full understanding the acrobatics concept of “New Image Theater Group” and precautions for first learning acrobatics.

Web production: Work on the webpage production. And through the project webpages, we learn and know more about the “New Image Theater Group”.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

What can acrobatics do even you have well learned? We have done surveys, and found out that most parents have more concern about children’s career and further study.

When Leader Wang was 9-year-old, his father sent him and his brother to the 'Chinese Folk Arts Center', followed to Master Lee Tong Hua – at the same period, there were total 60 students and teachers at the center to receive professional strict teachings. Mr. Li Tanghua took the way as running a school to educate those children, not only for solid their basic skills, and also teach dance, gymnastics, singing, international etiquette courses.... Since the age of 10, wearing a uniform with the Chinese flag embroidered printed, followed teachers, students have travelled around the world, more than 40 countries engaged in citizen diplomacy mission ~~ 'Acrobatics' can be called 'skill' or called 'stunt'. Now in many major festivals Leader Wang Guanghua is designated to lead as stunt guidance. We understand aerial stunts, face flash, magic, and unicycle etc.......which belong to acrobatics, in-depth study of acrobatic species, and learn the basics of acrobatics unicycle balance. Acrobatics performance also requires constant innovation and tradition inheritance. There were fewer and fewer who wants to learn this heritage. Those students who love drama and acrobatics, in future studies paths, can find and do more advanced learning in the National Taiwan College of Drama.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Leader Wang Guanghua: Accept interview, share stories, ideas, and philosophy of running the troupe.

Director Jiang Li Fen: Contact with New Image Theatre Group, help with arranging activities and provide troupe relevant information.

Coach Kong Fan Wei: Acrobatics experience and technical guidance, interview, and share their learning experience.

Coach Yang Yi Quan: Acrobatics experience and technical guidance, interview, and share their learning experience.

Teacher Lin, You Xuan: Share his stage experience, theatrical body language 'Still sculpture' teaching.

Teacher Ge, Yun Wen: Share his stage experience, theatrical body language 'Still sculpture' teaching.

Unicycle little assistant: Fybee, Hairy, the Kong 3 siblings.

Toy Museum staff: Accept interview, providing information of 435 arts.

School students: teachers and students in Mingde Junior High School, interview and fill-in the acrobatics questionnaire.

Yang Jie Mom: help with videos filming, take pictures, and arrange acrobatic experience and web publishing.

Team members’ Parents: Take pictures, accompanied to watch acrobatics children's drama. All of those accept interview and answer our questionnaires on the street.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

We went to the Xinzhuang Cultural Arts Center Auditorium on November 26, enjoyed the performance of New Image Theater Group, combining aerial stunts, wonderful acrobatics, magic, dance, acrobatics and advocate the concept of energy and sustainable energy FUN children's drama [Earth]. On December 7 and December 14, we went to Banqiao 435 Arts Center – New Image Theater Group classroom, experienced unicycle, bricklayer, bouncing beds and several simple acrobatics.

Talked with Leader Wang Guanghua, we learned 'New Image Theater Group' also participated in 'Deaf Olympic Opening' and 'World Games opening ceremony', for four consecutive years was elected as the New Taipei City outstanding performing arts groups, and also set up a New-Heart troupe. 'New Heart Troupe' is a group of children with disabilities, and the New Taipei eminent performing arts team is set up by the assistance from New Image Theater Group .

Slow-fly Angels are those who has attention deficit, hyperactivity disorder, autism, Asperger's syndrome, Tourette's syndrome, mood disorders, language disorders, learning disabilities and other symptoms, so they grew up even harder than the average child. They need continuous rehabilitation, treatment, study, treatment, and also have to bear others strange sight.

New Image Theater Group Leader Wang Guanghua has coached and helped these children, gives them a stage of their own, therefore he starts to open such exclusively special training courses for those students. The acrobatics courses are focused on the development and physical strength, balance training. All are put into the teaching program, from basic physical pull exhibition, tumbling, and running and jumping, balance, extension is made to pick up props to the heart, eyes, hands, feet as one training. We experienced the simple acrobatics, but know that every skill learning has a degree of difficulties and need to continue and insist. Never give up in order to be successful.
