4. Problems We Had To Overcome

As we all came from different classes, the division of labor and teamwork was not easy and we felt completely lost at first. Things only became slightly easier after we elected project leaders, divided work, followed the project leader’s plans, listened to teachers’ advices, and monitored our work progress.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

As some people say: “unity is strength”, we learned the wisdom of the proverb from the Cyberfair project. An unforgettable incident happened when we encountered difficulties in the process of making webpages. The story was that a project member had been absent from our group discussions for some time because he was preparing for a report for other classes, which made other hard-working project members become unhappy about his behaviors and planned to exclude him from the Cyberfair project. However, we eventually gave in to our teachers’ persuasion, showed understanding for that classmate, and completed the webpages together. We indeed benefited a lot from this Cyberfair project experience.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

In the process of making webpages, we used many different tools, which were all provided by the school. We also did several interviews and questionnaire surveys, recorded what we heard with recording pens, and record all important scenes with cameras. In the process of completing the Cyberfair project, we received lots of support and encouragement from many people. We especially appreciate the assistance from the physical education teacher Pan, who had been helpful in responding to our interview questions and had given us inspiring encouragement. Our Computer and Internet Access: Recording pens Camcorders and digital cameras Computer software Questionnaire surveys and in-person interviews Flash drives Earphones

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

The webpages we made, which have successfully served multiple purposes, not only allow more people to know Tchouk-ball and become more familiar with the sport, but also convey our school’s features to more people in divergent locations and teach them how to play Tchouk-ball.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

This Cyberfair project is quite beneficial for our school as our school already has a long history in Tchouk ball.
