We want the world to know that our industrial monuments are important for our world. We believe we all have the power to present our coal mine and the rest of Industrial Monuments Route. The Silesian Province is the largest concentration of historic industrial sites in Poland. They constitute the richness of the region. They reflect its specificity and determine cultural identity. Their uniqueness and authenticity make them integral parts of the European cultural heritage. The development of industry on this land, which lasted for over two centuries, contributed to the fact that from a peripheral region Silesia transformed into one of the leading regions of the industrial period. Without knowing this process, you cannot understand the turbulent history of Silesia. We want the world to know that our industrial monuments are important for our world. We believe we all have the power to present our coal mine and more and more persons will visit our City. Our Computer Science Specialist, Mrs. Ewa Widera wanted to help us learn beyond our school walls. So she entered us in the CyberFair Project this year.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Cyberfair helped us cover many content standards. Content standards discussed in our project are related to regional attrations. One of The goal of Our school is to improve the ability of using the computer and communications with society and each other. New skills learnt includes the scripting languages embedded with the HTML code, and also the banner designing in multimedia packages. By introducing our project we are playing major role in spreading awareness amongst the world as a whole. Internet teaching seems to be better than traditional teaching as students of today’s world are more dependent and reliant on the internet information and are more comfortable in front of the computer rather than sitting in a class room.
