Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

TaoLe is located in the northeast of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, Ningxia Taole happiness park focused on solving the centralized support problem of elderly in southern ecological migrants District and central arid zone in Ningxia, improve their living conditions is the ecological migration engineering.East have endless prairie of rolling sand dunes; The west winds north to the Yellow River; The north lake in the desert oasis temple temple, rippling, trees are green, as if 'xanadu'; South of soldiers trench is imperial garrison troops station troops, from the qin dynasty general MengTian, song name MuGuiYing ever in this play. Today, where has become yellow desert.

2. Summary of Our Project

Through visiting Miaomiao Lake Ecological Tourism Zone, we learned the development of Miaomiao Lake, one by one to understand the Miaomiao Lake history, development, to know that small local fascinated place again, and we benefit a lot in the whole process.We appreciate the beauty of nature, the beauty of the humanities, and we decided to introduce the beautiful scenery here to more people, so that they can feel the beautiful northwest scenery

There are one teacher electronic preparation room, 3 computer rooms and 142 computers, the students' computer usage frequency is higher, and the school has access to the ADSL campus network.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

(1)Data collection as Taole town is a remote town, cyber source is very little about its report, we can only get a little information through some very old literature and little information network. For these problems, we encountered it carefully, and I believe we will get what we want in the interview, that is it.

(2)Conditions are limited. Because the computers are needed in the entire process, but the school computer room is not opened for us in any time, so we have to collect material in the afternoon extracurricular time. We all live in the school, and there is no computer at home, so the entire schedule is delayed.

(3)The traffic problem because there is a certain distance from our home or school to the Miaomiao Lake, we need a taxi to interview, parents and teachers are worried, so we have to reduce the times of interviews, every time we go to Miaomiao Lake eco-tourism area to collect enough data as much as possible.

(4)The time problem we have class during the day time, there is no more time to communicate with the teachers, some work is not convenient, so we will communicate with the teacher after school every day.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

In this activity, I try to lead the team to finish a task, to talk with strangers with the players, which greatly exercise my social skills, thanks for this opportunity, let me grow up a lot.let me understand Chinese culture and ethnic customs, expand our intellectual capacity, also let me learn some skills to take photographs? My visual field is wide, through collecting and collating data, improve the ability to summarize, this ability is very important, and I appreciate the beautiful scenery of the desert.Through the activity, lets me understand that we will be successful if we have the patience and perseverance to overcome difficulties!

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

In the information technology course, we asked the teacher about making Webpage computer knowledge in limited time; in Chinese class, we asked for text materials to the Chinese teacher and other issues, asked the old teacher in school about Miaomiao Lake legend...... Under the guidance of teachers, we successfully completed the relevant content of the event.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

From ensure the theme to finish the work, we visited Miaomiao Lake eco-tourism area and Miaomiao Lake immigration area, we interviewed the staff in Miaomiao Lake Ecological Tourism District, the staff who were working here and the visitors. We told them about our special plan, they were very interested in our topic, and provided special support and praise, hoped to introduce northwest and our beautiful hometown to more people through our Webpage.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

In the process of this project, many people knew the Miaomiao Lake through communicating with us. This project is supported by many classmates and teachers, our project let people know and understand more about Taole town. Through our interview, we also appreciate the beauty of the home, increase our feelings of hometown.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

When we visited Miaomiao Lake eco zone, because we had to walk seven or eight km from our place to Miaomiao Lake, which made us a bit daunting, it took more than an hour to walk...... the difficulties will be always solved. In the face of such difficulties, the cars were coming from time to time, why didn't stop a car. Hard work paid off, we stopped a car to send us to Miaomiao Lake immigration, also took us to the Temple Lake eco-tourism area to visit, thanked those people, thank you for your help to save a lot of time and physical strength, let our interview can be carried out smoothly.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

After determined the theme, we were designing Webpage while collating information, 'the Miaomiao Lake in desert', why do not put our page 'standing' in the desert? So, we finally determined that the desert picture we had taken as the whole page background. So, the Webpage is composed of the desert with different light, there are traces of bugs, and traces of sand blows.
