Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

In order to promote the development of Huangyuan cultural tourism industry, turn the cultural advantages of tourism commodity 'Dan Gar' embroidered leather into industrial advantage, in order to attract tourists, 600000 yuan is used for the development of tourism commodities. It is said that, Huangyuan County Dan Gar catched tourism products business, this year the county government invested 600000 yuan to develop high quality and inexpensive and easy to carry features of tourism commodities, for the development of Huangyuan row of lamps, crafts gifts series of tourism commodities;, Dan Gar Embroidered Leather Research and Development Limited in Huangyuan County also researched sachet, cloth, key bag, hand embroidered slippers and other series of tourism commodities except to research embroidery works, pendant series.

2. Summary of Our Project

After the research of shadow puppets, Our team keep understanding on the local leather embroidery culture, in the topic, we studied from the leather embroidery culture, the development of Dan Gar leather embroidery, embroidered leather appreciation several aspects. In the implementation of the project, we visited the Huangyuan County Tourism Bureau, embroidered leather factory in Huangyuan County, Minqing Embroidered Leather Exhibition Hall in Huangyuan County, deepen the understanding of the leather embroidery art.

Our school was equipped with two modern computer rooms in June 2013, a total of 72 computers, 2 teacher machines, computer room greatly improved learning conditions, our school carried out rectification of network recently, light bandwidth is up to 4M, the students can access to the Internet every day, and widened the field of vision, improved the network environment.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

After the implementation of the last project, we have a certain experience in the implementation of the project, but there are some problems, such as: the homework is increasing in grade three, and there is a little time. In the process of the visit, we had gotten cold-shoulder treatment. Webpage software is not familiar, so we have to learn from scratch and learning by doing.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

It is another opportunity to participate in CyberFair, students have had a goal after got the notice, and we plan to introduce unique manual arts in Huangyuan - Embroidered Leather. We ensured ' Dangaer leather embroidery is of supernatural workmanship' as the subject. The next day we worked separately, Li Jing and I are responsible for collecting relevant Embroidered Leather text information. Li Yanmei, Li Shengfen, Yu Jixiang is responsible for collecting image data. The teacher Ma is in charge of the construction of the website and Webpage design. Through the last practice, we have a well-thought-out plan, and every link is not too difficult. In striking implementation, teacher and we are very relaxed, and our faces have a confident smile. Our Webpage finally came out after 2 months of hard work, looking at our work, we are very pleased, and we hope that the Webpage can achieve good results in the competition.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

A study of Dangaer embroidered leather had combined with the school-based curriculum, penetrated the arts classroom. Enrich the campus culture.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We are mainly responsible for the acquisition, collection, collation in the project. In the process, some students are responsible for the camera, some are responsible for recording, some are responsible for interview. We contact the interviewees in advance by telephone, QQ After the teacher Ma arranged. We summarize the experience last year, according to the schedule, we carry out the project step by step smoothly. During the interviewing process, we meet some people with the opportunity of the interview, and promote our research program to them. Although the task is arduous, but in the process we experienced a reporter's life. In this practice, we all know it is impossible only by the strength of an individual, we can win the final victory only we work together. In the implementation of the project, we publicity leather embroidery knowledge through the campus radio, let each student have a preliminary understanding to the local art of hand embroidered leather. Also to show some fine embroidered leather works to the students, the teachers and students have a great response, some students would like to personally make leather embroidery.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Through this project research, we understand more about the leather embroidery knowledge. The students participate in the activities actively. And through this activity, we took publicity through the campus radio, photo exhibitions, and let more students understand the embroidered leather, even like this kind of art.It played a certain role to inherit and carry forward for the local culture. We found that through the implementation of this project, the teachers and students of our school like Embroidered Leather this art very much, some teachers and students even consult related knowledge, also hope our school can offer the embroidered leather curriculum.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

The last shadow puppets Webpage won the gold medal, so we have more confidence in this competition. Through the implementation of this project, we found that Huangyuan was a city with deep cultural heritage, the Ming and Qing Dynasties Street -- Dan Gar City, Hehuang shadow play, fire, embroidered leather are permeated with the ancient culture. In recent years, my county leadership pays special attention to protecting, promoting local culture. There are a lot of new crafts and learners. The county museum taught the related knowledge to the rural women and help them setting up their shops and workshops. As a new generation of students, we should protect and develop the local culture. Make our local culture carry on from generation to generation.
