If you want to pay a visit to Shehng-Yuan from the south, drive to Chien-Kuo 1st Rd., turn right, drive straight, turn right at Cheng-Yi Rd., drive to Yi-Yung Rd., and then you will see Shehng-Yuan in 50 meters on the right. Although the location of Shehng-Yuan is in the middle of the busy city, with vehicles comings and goings, very few people know the existence of such a lovely place. Here at Shehng-Yuan, every kid needs taking care of to grow. The purpose of Shehng-Yuan is to serve with love, concern and take care of children with disabilities and less privilege, help them learn to conquer barriers they will face in the society in the future.

2. Summary of Our Project

Some people think children with disabilities are coming to this world to collect debts, but in my opinion they are angels. They are always carefree and not afraid of anything along the way. When parents worry about something, they are not affected but still like immortals. Instead, parents are influenced by them, learn the meaning of happiness, and do their best. Shehng-Yuan Children Development Center was founded in 1989 by Alex Horng, the chairman of Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Company. Because Alex’s son Jimmy was suffered from a serious case of jaundice, Alex hoped to establish a center where kids with the same problem can have a well-rounded learning environment. As a father, Alex knows the hardship of parents taking care of kids alike. He just wants to help these parents and kids. As a result, he founded Shehng-Yuan. Just like what Chairman Horng told his faculty and staff, “with determination, any problems will be overcome.”

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1.Before the test Web Design Class C, but infrequently do web relationship, resulting in technically not so professional. 2.Is not the same for everyone's free time, some people have to participate in associations or volunteer activities, so common little time. 3.Everyone is responsible for something different, so the progress is also different, it is difficult to be unified. 4.Find on the Internet, things are much the same, no special things that no one will want to see. 5.The volunteer side to take care of the Children with, so to capture the time to talk with the teacher. 6.Team members who are involved in CyberFair first, we all need more time to explore the research.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Some people may look down on the children of cerebral palsy, and laughing at them is not the same as the general population. Since the we go volunteer service, they are a group of very brave child, although they do not have the perception of pain and reflexes in the training process will be very tired very hard, but they still do not give up to continue their efforts. Cerebral palsy children are not to be concerned about a disadvantaged group, but when we saw them when there will want to help their impulses, they do not like the charitable foundations as we all know, but from a brain palsy son entrepreneurs - Hung silver tree, chairman founded, they do not have to raise money, but they do not lack funds, as chairman of the board want to help those kids. After the experience, a great help for our outlook on life and gratitude toward, and we do not think this is a game, and feel that is an important experience tour

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

The inheritance of traditional culture is possible to everyone,we used the boundlessness of the Internet and technical information to let everyone know traditional culture isn't too far for us to reach. Now, we can spread traditional culture throughout the place, and once again shine the light.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

Along with the rapid development of the Internet, computers and Internets have already turned into a magnificent and unstoppable trend. Therefore, we often make use of the T1 Internet broadband the school has provided us to do data transferring and data organizing. Also, the teachers applied an Internet space from the school, and through the FTP uploading software, it gives convenience for us to upload the searched data to our own folders. And we can also open them up anytime if we need to correct data. Not only dose it decrease the inconveniences of everybody who has to carry flash drives all the time, but also let teams comprehend the progress of data collecting. Because there are first and second graders in the team, everybody's interaction is still unfamiliar. In addition, everybody’s skills is not complete. So the members use most of their time after school or at home to finish works. When uploading pages, we feel more needs to use the school’s T1 Internet broadband in order for us to search data on the Internet quickly without worrying about the “Traffic Jam” problems! At home, we use the broadband ADSL or wireless Internet access. The speed may not be as good as the school’s, but because we use the division of information searching and it sure enhance a lot of efficiency.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

In the beginning, knowing we were going to participate in a website competition (topic was local leader), our warmhearted Vice Principal Shu Shiao Bao introduced to us Principal David Chen. And through Mrs. Pi-Hua Lu and Mr. Shang-Chun Tsai's telephone connection with Principal David Chen, we found out about the principal's recent activities, thus arranged a interview right on the spot.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

After the experience, our outlook on life and gratitude toward very helpful, and we do not think this is a game, and think it is an important experience trip.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

This competition has let us understand the importance of teamwork and work distribution. We assigned our jobs according to our interests and expertise. For example, team members who were good at animation, were arranged to the animation group.....,usw. Patience commentary and guidance through the center of San Yuan Kai Yan Tsang, director and center teacher, a better understanding of cerebral palsy, and for more information on the network can not find. By participating volunteers know many parents of cerebral palsy children, the parents are also very happy to answer we need to share the process of growth of a child with cerebral palsy.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

The opportunity through this competition, we can't found a lot of things get from a book's example: with the tacit understanding and cooperation in the crew, when disagreement how to ask the right way, to take full advantage of the free time to unite centripetal force to complete athing.

Special education system so students now return to normal class teaching, although some students they felt strange and make fun of them, but there will be some exceptions, For our example, we visit the parents, she tells us his children in elementary school, and did not face discrimination instead and get along well with the students. In the interview process, I felt the director of the intentions of their pay, and I found that we have in fact is a very happy child, born to something they have to learn, we cherish what we have.
