Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Pujiang County enjoys a high reputation of green Pujiang and natural Oxygen bar! Air quality is better than the national grade II standard. There are many lakes in Pujiang County, and especially stone elephant lake is the most famous. Stone Elephant Lake has natural resources, ecological park area become heaven of animal and plant, and it is a pure land which is being looked by people. The lake with wide expanse of mist-covered waters in the morning, birds sing and flowers give force their fragrance, forest is clothed with rich and varied vegetation, Confucianism and Buddhism refresh our mind, Human life being in a highly harmony with nature now. Stone Elephant Lake is marine of flowers, vision of the heaven, small Switzerland in east, small Holland in Asia, Chinese Davos, Chengdu Imperial Garden ', and people also call stone Elephant Lake 'the land of dreams, easy Township, habitat paradise '.

2. Summary of Our Project

This year, we decided to take part in Cyberfair, this is a new challenge for us, because this is our first time to participate in such activities, to broaden our horizons through the activities, exercise our ability, cultivate our social practice ability. In conclusion, we benefit from it, learning and extracurricular life got effective combination.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

E. Additional comments concerning your computer and/or Internet access (Optional):

upplement of computer or Internet access: the students in our school get on the internet through ADSL, and 8M bandwidth of China Telecom is used. Even though there is computer room in our school, the Internet network is not connected, more than 20 machines connected Internet, a few students can get on the internet at home, and some teachers can get on the Internet at home.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We are lack of knowledge on the webpage, and not to say to make it. However, we ask the computer teacher instead of flinching in the face of difficulties, in the guidance of teachers, we have a certain understanding on the webpage knowledge, and completed the webpage making under the guidance of the teacher.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Through our efforts, I believe strong power will be brought for the economic development of Pujiang and modern garden city.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Take time to learn in school, to complete the learning tasks which are assigned by the teacher, after-school time to discuss activity plan and scheme with team members, we concentrate on webpage making research project, activity image acquisition, data collection, investigation at weekend,

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We are the students of grade eight, we think that the development of the local economy should be implemented with the specific action, therefore, we would like to do a good webpage in Pujiang scenery, as a propagandist, to advocate all the people, start from the minor matter, to accelerate the economic development of Pujiang.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

This webpage is posted on the Internet, social visibility in Pujiang has been broadcasted, to attract more tourists, at the same time, bring more economic benefit.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

The librarians provide historical data for us, and give us suggestions, help collecting material, photographic material, computer teacher teaches our webpage making knowledge and method.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

This is our first time to participate in the Cyberfire, the theme is 'Pujiang scenery', collecting materials on the Internet, to find a lot of information, and broaden our horizons, enhance our understanding. Even though we encountered some difficulties in the interviews, we try various devices to overcome. During the activity, we learned a lot of knowledge, we realized that the construction of garden city not only broaden our horizons but also update our ideas. We influence a person 's view on life by the practical action, to arouse the awareness of people in urban and rural areas, accelerating the pace of modern garden city construction.
