Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

1. Our school’s computers and domestic computers can make information integrated.

2. We can make comparison between the journals and information in library so that we can have a clue about the effect of climatic change.

3. Journals, books, and library.

4. Using cameras and video recorders to keep a record is more authentic than the information on the Internet.

5. Computers and interviews are of great assistance because we can often renew the latest information.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We invited District Mayor of Dashu District, new and old chairmen, volunteers, biologist and we even bumped into a person who also made a study of the Old Railroad Bridge. We expect one day we can give a lecture about the history and the creatures of the Old Railroad Bridge, and become real “ambassadors”.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

The obvious point is that we often ask for a leave or use leisure time to accomplish this stuff. And this is also along with the big pressure of academy. First of all, we have to arrange the time to increase the efficiency. To serve in local is our duty. The Old Railroad Bridge Association is the institution which protects the wetland, and conserves the creatures that live in the wetland. Besides International School CyberFair, Blog and Facebook, we also need to use our own way to show the love to the Mother Nature..

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

This project gives us a great opportunity to interview many people, including the district mayor of Dashu Destrict, the chairman of the association, a graduate from the local University, community residents, environmental experts, and even our parter’s families. They provide us with a lot of memories and suggestions, photos and videos about the Old Railroad bridge, What touched us the most is people’s enthusiasm for promoting the environmental education on the wetland nearby the Old Railroad Bridge.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

According to the volunteers’ statement, we have more recognition of the birds’ species and the way of birds’ living. Not only do the volunteers know widely, but they love this place very much. Owing to this interesting outdoor activity, we can have a fresh experience and broaden our horizon. No doubt, their love to the nature is worth learning. From this lesson, we learn more things, such as talking skills, courage and attitude. Investigation and interview are also important parts during this period. But the priority is previous preparation. You have to find information and pop some questions beforehand.
