Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

The DawuKou the Shizuishan urban, eco-tourism, Chief of entire Dawukou, called North Wudang eco-tourism area, which by the five attractions: artificial ecological forest region which covers an area of 10,000 acres - the Dawukou Forest Park, it shows the unique character of the ecological construction of the northwest arid desert region; by the North Wudang Geopark covers an area of about 70 square kilometers, is a natural museum of the evolution of typical geological history; by the total length of more than 10 kilometers, Helanan original ravine canyon, Yamauchi called leek trench, is a good place for people Xunyou adventures; by the fossil was discovered in 1994, a small drainage Bedding old trees, with the study of high ornamental value; from the beginning built in Kangxi40 years of North Wudang Temple, which is Shizuishan scenic spots, the annual Lunar New Year, February, March 3, a small temple in July 15 and April 8, July 7, August 15, September 9many tourists during the big temple, take a distance, look to the plain, panoramic city views, a good place to browse the tourist and religious activities. http://nx49cy11.edu.17888.com/employee/index.php

2. Summary of Our Project

The project introduces four decades built before Kangxi North Wudang Temple Shizuishan scenic spots, many tourists during the annual size of the temple, take a distance, look to the plain, urban panoramic viewis a good place to browse the tourist and religious activities. It is also the Northwest one of the most important temples. According to records, one of Northwest's largest temple in large Miaoxiang, called the Temple, a temple called the temple a place far away from it, Talia's name is relative, are the legacy of history, are far greater than the Wudang Temple, but during the Cultural Revolution, two temples were destroyed, and has no trace. 4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Our school is less than 3 years old that the infrastructure is incomplete, the system is to be improved and it is our first time participated in the Net Fair contest, therefore, we met lots of difficulties in the practice.

Safety is the key issue, then the tight and inconsistent time, and the different understandings between teachers and students on the research, also the other teachers’ acknowledgment and understanding.

On one hand, as for the research topic, the students had intense curiosity but narrow knowledge on it, so they could not think much on the historic things, also without directions. In this way, prior to every interview, the teacher would offer some guidance and also asked them to search some related information in the internet in advance. They did prepare well and make it out well, so during the later interviews, their interviews were rich and fulfilled. On the other hand, the interviews outside took over their classes, so some of the teachers did not understand them although the supervisor has explained to them, creating pressure on the students on some way. So they were always trapped in dilemma that they desired to go out to have a look while they were afraid of getting criticism from their teachers. On this issue, the supervisor had a good talking with the school leaders before the latter would communicate with the teachers to gain their understanding and support.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We hope that the publicity out by the event can our region historical monuments, hopes to bring all visitors to the tourism for local economic development. Also hope that this project allows students to broaden their horizons, be able to increase their knowledge, and thus foster their love of his hometown, and to contribute to the development of the hometown spirit.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Today's society is in need of students who obtain comprehensive development on morality, intelligence, physical ability, arts and labor, of which the prima one is morality. That means to foster a talented people, to be of morality is the most important. This research activity is not only to cultivate the students' abilities such as practicing, thinking, and questioning, but also to make them aware to be hard working, diligent, kind, helpful, simple and sincere. Therefore, this activity is a perfect case of successful combining the classes with the research activity of the Net Fair.

In this activity, what touched us most deeply was the day when we paid a visit to the North Wudang Temple, the visitors and residents there were so hospitalized to greet us and happy to join our interview and tell us some valuable issues about the temple. It was obvious that they had deep love on their hometown and wished the hometown could be prosperous. So taking this chance, they hoped we could help to promote the local historical and cultural heritage, making more and more people know and come to visit it, in order to improve the economic development of the city. I was touched and inspired by them that I would pay much more affection to my hometown and the people there. Together we can build a more prosperous and stronger home, so let us do something practical for our hometown.

In the activity, I also have learned how to arrange my time in a reasonable way. As the activity went on I also had to work hard on the classes, so if I did not have a timetable, I would waste time and energy. As a matter of fact, if we paid more we would gain more, just as the old saying goes that you will ripe what you sow.

Project Elements

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

This study site visits and interviews, so we went to the site visits and contact responsible for managing the North Wudang Temple and the people who live in the North Wudang Temple, to create awareness of our research plan and purpose. There is the use of telephone, QQ, E-mail, and respondents to contact every interview we will know a lot of people, we also take this opportunity to promote our research program. We use digital video to do interviews. we use PC to do Webpage making, Sorting the data, Inquiring on internet. we use u-disk to do the storing of images and files. we use scanner to do Pictures scan.(we use U disk by the teacher) we use Digital camera to do Take photo.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Our team of seven members participated in the 2012 Net Fair contest on behalf of our school. The teacher and students introduced and promoted the contest through phones, face to face, QQ and email, and contacted the related people to visit and have interview.

The activity we conducted is helpful for the promotion of our hometown. Take the tourist industry as example, which is important for the local development so we can promote it through our research, to attract more and more people here and enhance the local economic development. LiChuanJun: Shizuishan Fifth Dean of Academic Affairs Net Fair participation process is actually a social practice, but also to implement the Party's education policy, an effective way to strengthen students' quality education. Students not only have a solid cultural knowledge of the new century, but also have a strong physique, indomitable will and personality. So I attach great importance to the social practice, I will be time to give them support.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

The activity we conducted is helpful for the promotion of our hometown. Take the tourist industry as example, which is important for the local development so we can promote it through our research, to attract more and more people here and enhance the local economic development.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

The Shizuishan fifth secondary school teachers——LiuPan Although I was not so familiar with the Net Fair, I believed it would be of great significance. So I would strongly support the activity conducted by teacher Mr.Lv and the students. I would help them to input the text, sort out information and revise it. I wish them successful. The Shizuishan fifth secondary school teachers--XuZhenHuan I attended the lecture presented by teacher Mrs.Lv, although I could not take part in the activity, I felt great honored to help them and support them.Knowing their names and work,I was so happy for them to join in such activity. Temple where the grandfather Looking at these lovely students, some of them happened to be my nephew's classmates, I was so happy that they came out to practice because it was well known that the children now lived like in the paradise and did not work. So I taught them how to be good men and sent them some books like Di Zi Gui.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

This was the first time we participated in the Net Fair contest, with no experience, limited horizon and competence, and were unfamiliar with the research, so the website we made was not so satisfactory. However, it helped me to realize that nothing was impossible for a willing heart, so we should learn a lesson from every experience and make full use of the chance, and then we will succeed and embrace the beautiful future.(LvXiuQin)

Our time for interview was a little tight but our harvest was abundant. After the several visits and interviews, I believed “people are born good,” because wherever we were, the people we met were always kind and patient. I appreciated so much of their help and I would learn from them.(SunJunHao)

What I learned from this activity was that we should be kind-hearted and do good deeds but not conduct evil things, because everything we got was what we deserved.(SunJunHao)

We gained a lot of knowledge on Buddhism from this activity, its structure and history and so on. Also I learned an important thing that we need to be sincere and honest, kind and be full of love, but not immoral. I do hope the people of our generation can learn the experience that in the dungeon and work out to be moral people.(LiZhengDe)
