Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Pingtung owns four important forest parks: Shuankuei Lake Nature Reserve, Mount Tawu Nature Reserve, Chinshuiyin Nature Reserve, and Mount Chachayalai Nature Reserve. The county is surrounded by the ocean on three sides giving ecology research conducted on its seashore much valued data. Its clean and peaceful beaches cradled along its long coastline are a paradise for summer leisure activities on and in its waters.

2. Summary of Our Project

'Pingtung gift' is a project with the speciality of Pingtung county.In the research project, we refer to a number of previous good works in Network World Exposition , and then we made the outlines , which are, Pingtung Gifts, delicacies, accessories , accomadation, getaways, one-day trip , our team, the alternative Pingtung , and the references . We have lived here in Pingtung since our childhood , thus we should promote 'Pingtung' ! We decided our hometown “Pingtung ” as our final theme of competition .

Our computers and internet access has a normal standard.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

1.Lack of animation experience: because we have never done animation so we do not know how to do? Solution: we'll find a teacher or student to do animation with us 2.Lack of technology knowledge: we never used some software on computer. Solution: our teacher taught us to use those computer software 3.Not enough time: because we have a monthly exam, we also need to do to prepare project. Solution: When the lunch break at noon,we do web pages and check the information to do at night.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We learned more skills by this project.We can play a role to connect Pingtung and the whole world.

Tools we use :Notebooks,pens,recorders,printers,laptop,and photo shot. Software : Excel 2003?PhotoScape?PhotoImpact 12?FrontPage 2003?Word 2003?Photocape?Photoshop?flash

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

How to play an 'ambassador' through the Internet in the name of team or individually ? Beside going to the library , we invited many places for searching information. Special thanks to Pingtung couty government.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our team has more changes through completing the project.We knew very little at the beginning , and now we`ve learned a lot.We did something for our hometown,Pingtung.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We visited more stores in Pintung. We also interviewed who well-known the specialty about 'Pingtung gif'.Thanks for many peaple who help us.
