They constitute a comprehensive ecological system of wetland in Guide together with forest and shrub along both sides of the Yellow River. The landscape resources of Guide wetland is mainly based on colorful wetland landscapes, geographical landscape is the secondary one, to blend charming and beautiful wetland scenery in the two sides of the Yellow River and the natural beauty of Danxia Landforms in Tibetan Plateau together, fresh, unique, witty, diversity, it contains a dynamic and static charm and grandeur, and it is known as the 'small Jiangnan' of Qinghai in the world.

2. Summary of Our Project

In order to show 'small Jiangnan of Qinghai' in Guide County, protect rare wetland resources of both sides of the Yellow River in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, display the multi-functions of wetland, integrate existing tourism resources in both sides of the Yellow River, build Huang Heqing Wetland Park, and actively declare a national wetland park. We have a certain understanding to the forming reasons of wetland and wildlife resources of wetland through visits on the spot, which called on people to protect the wetland around us, do not destroy it, keep the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. With the approaching of winter, Guide has become the home of white swan in winter, this is the charm of Guide wetland, due to climatic conditions and rich biological resources in the wetlands, Guide forestry department is to apply the Yellow River Wetland Park in Guide, we also want to do some work that we can do for scenery around us and our wetlands, so we choose the landscape here is beyond compare -- the Yellow River wetland in Guide as the subject, making webpage, participate in Cyberfire, let more people concern about the wetland, pay attention to kidney of the earth -- wetland. At the same time, in the process of visiting and making, we encourage and communicate with each other, not only promoting the friendship, but also enhancing the team spirit and learning to help others. Let the students have more thorough knowledge about beauty around us, and know the harmony of man and nature, to build beautiful homes. It is also based on this point, we have chosen local environment as the theme, and it aims to introduce the wetland resources in Guide. At the same time, to love nature, protect the nature, cherish and make use of resource reasonably, keep the harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:none

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:dedicated connection

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:4-6

E. Additional comments concerning your computer and/or Internet access (Optional):

Because our school is being planned and constructed, dial-up Internet access was used now, network is 2M, and there are only a few computers can be surfed online, so the whole making processes are divided and finished at home.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

We also encounter a lot of difficulties in the process of collecting material and making webpage. In the process of collecting material, in order to understand the wetland situation and take good photos, we hiked to visit all the wetlands of the Yellow River in Heyin area Guide, there is blister on the foot every time when we go out to investigate, I felt very hard at that time, but the teacher told us a lot of knowledge, still taught us to bake sweet potato in the field, which made our visit course was full of happiness. My classmates said that they not only enjoyed the beauty of nature, but also learned a lot of knowledge without on textbooks through this activity. In addition, we should not only make webpage conscientiously, but also improve our study. After all, we just go into grade seven, this year is more important for us, learning tasks are more than primary school, so teachers can only occupy our weekend time, to take us to visit, so we have less time to collect materials, we make webpage at home on Sunday through training of teacher, questions you don’t know can be asked to the teacher by telephone, teachers give us the patient guide; secondly, our teacher is very busy with many classes, there is the teacher's companion and guide in the whole process of webpage making, they must be very hard, thanks to them here. Even though there were some hardships, in the process of collecting material, we also enriched a lot of knowledge, and knew protection and development is utilizing core of Huang Heqing wetland in Guide County Qinghai province. Through social participation and scientific management, to protect the wetland ecosystem, go on maintaining a variety of benefits of wetland, keep the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. So we need to protect her. Although we encountered some difficulties on the way, we learn a lot of things without on the books.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We got the great support from school in this activity, and the president supported our actions very much and provided a car for us. Through closing to nature, we had broadened our horizons, marveling at beautiful and gay nature. Through this activity, we understand that 'where there is a will, there is a way', as long as you have faith, to overcome difficulties, you will be successful. The students know more about the knowledge of wetland resources in Guide through this project. Through this activity, students learn more about the kidney of the earth -- the wetland knowledge, and students will also participate in the activities. And students on campus make some publicity through this activity, bring more students to understand the nature, even love the nature. Protecting and cherishing the local natural resource.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

The school courses like Chinese, Science, School-based courses and Information and Technology all involve earth and environment to varying degrees, so we could carry on our practical activity with theoretical knowledge gained from these courses. The practical activity of special study extended simple teaching content outside class. In this way, not only the teaching contents were enriched, but our knowledge and vision were improved. Through the investigation in the environment around our school, we knew well about environmental pollution and energy crisis, and we also fully realized the importance and urgency of environmental protection. Internet Exposition made us realize both the importance of learning and necessity of the special study.

We will benefit from the competition for a lifetime. Data was collected trough four months’ hard work, although webpage is not very good, our first works were come out finally, it is not the final work, the result is not important, the most important is that we have learned a lot of things without on the books in the whole process, learned a lot of knowledge about wetland resources, known our future is full of hope.
