1. Description of Our Community
We interpret a 'group of entrepreneurs' as a community. We believe that all of us can be entrepreneurs, and teens that are taking courses of entrepreneurship and studying the economy are included within our community. Our community includes teens of Singapore and beyond who are interested in entrepreneurship. We hope that these teens, aged 10 to 18, will learn about other entrepreneurs, the necessary skills and be inspired to be entrepreneurs in the near future.
2. Summary of Our Project
Entitled “Entrée to Entrepreneurship”, our project is an online resource package aiming to educate the teens of today, aged 10 to 18, on entrepreneurship. In detail, we want to equip our teens with the skills of entrepreneurship, handing them the power to improve, preserve and unite our economy. Our web portal includes case studies of famous successful entrepreneurs, interviews with local entrepreneurs, qualities of entrepreneurs, types of entrepreneurship and many more.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome
We had lots of problems trying to find time interviewing entrepreneurs due to the busy schedules they had. This was a major problem as we could not interview several entrepreneurs due to our clashing schedules. Also, we had difficulties trying to meet up due to time constraints, to discuss about our project due to heavy workload, competitions, etc. Thus, we decided to use other ways and means to communicate such as online messaging and email. However, we found that more work could be done when we met up together to discuss our project work, and it was more productive. Lastly, because not many websites educate the young about entrepreneurship, we had trouble researching information. Hence, we turned to other information tools such as books, newspaper articles and interviews with entrepreneurs.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Our project aims to boast our school's vision of developing leaders of tomorrow. Also, in lieu with entrepreneurial leadership programmes that we have in our Integrated Boarding School Programme (IBP), our project can serve as a platform for leaders who are daring, visionary and inspiring leaders who are venturing into entrepreneurship.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
Our main content is information for students regarding how they can start to hone their skills as an entrepreneur at a young age, such that they can realize and develop their entrepreneurial talents at an early stage. While sourcing for information, we have learnt much, from the different types of entrepreneurship to the qualities that a good entrepreneur should possess. The process of digesting information has also improved our scanning skills required to differentiate valuable and invaluable information on the web. It also requires us to internalize what we have learnt, and then putting it in our own simpler terms such that others can understand better. Apart from continuing where our school’s EP left off, we also hope that our project can also be utilized in the Integrated Boarding School (IBP) Entrepreneurial Leadership Programme (ELP) where selected students from our schools goes though the process of becoming entrepreneurial leaders of the society.
