2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.
We made the WebPages this time mainly for introducing our Tianzhu’s folk culture to outside. At the same time, recording and preserving the fading folk traditional culture through the dictation of old people, folk artists and scholars, such as the “An Zhao” in our local soil family, because of the serious impact of modern civilization is facing with the danger of being lost or disappearing. If we still not to excavate and protect it, many people will not understand this culture in the future.
3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?
Through participating in oral history this meaningful activity, we further understand the fascination of Tianzhu local culture and hope through our effort, more people can understand Tianzhu and like Tianzhu, thus enable our local culture be preserved and transmitted. 4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
We faced with many difficulties but also got many people’s help in the interview process. First, thanks to our schoolmaster Jiang, after knowing our wishes, he actively helped us contact the local cultural personage and arranged school car for our trip. Also thanks to Grandpa Jiang, schoolmaster Ma and Grandpa Li Zhanzhong,they all supported us when they knowing our interview activity. They said: seeing our youth of 16,17 years old had such enthusiastic to local culture, they feel very satisfied. At the same time, they also see hopes of national culture transmission from us.”
5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)
Through this activity, we really found and understood the charm of national culture, for example, soil family culture, though they have their no own words but they have their own language, their cultural transmission mainly through holidays, weddings, recorded and transmitted their histoy by oral singing form. A wedding tells the history of soil family. over the one thousand years, generation by generation, continue like this and never stop.
