4. Problems We Had To Overcome

First, though we are in a city school, but we are really children from rural areas and children of people work outside. Our home conditions are not good and have no computers at home, but we can get more support from other aspects of our parents. Second, we should finish the web page works under the condition of not delay normal study, which was quite hard for us. So we can only use the break at noon, the eighth class in the afternoon or self-study class to complete the works in computer room. In order not to delay our study, we felt the tension of time and the heavy task. Third, we can use less software, and the software we learnt to use is only office software. So in the process of dealing with the pictures, we almost did this while teaching by our teacher, for the part we can not deal with, we can only ask our teacher for help to solve it.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Thinking about the experience of the past two months, we had ever met with difficulties and disappointed, but at the last minute when we saw the completion of the works, we smiled to each other happily. Born in Ningxia but did not understand the Hui culture is our life-long regret. Through this interview by entering the park for materials, we had some understanding of Muslim culture, and many things that ordinary Muslims usually do but we do not know why also find the answer in the park. More important is that we went to have the interview ourselves under the leadership of teacher, do something that we had not done before is a step-across and encouragement for us.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

The main line of this activity of us is to understand the Islamic culture by entering into the most typical 'Chinese Hui Culture Park ' in Ningxia to get material and have interviews. In the process of producing our works, we felt deeply the importance of knowledge; it not only combines the subject of information technology, but also integrates with our labor and technical class. It helps to cultivate our information collection and information processing literacy, which at the same time cultivates our photography and image processing capabilities. The most important are: to foster our team unity spirit of and increase our viability. Without cooperation, communication, and practice, we can not complete the web page works to lay down a good foundation for students of our generation.

The success of this times’ interview and finding material can not separate from local personnel. From the aspect of school: first, they provide great support to us and also gave a special lesson on safe knowledge to guarantee our safe. From the community’s aspect: The people interviewed used their rest time to provide help to us, particularly the old mullah's words: 'Ga zi shows great promise and makes a good showing for our Hui people. He let our culture show the world, and let them understand us and let us know them'. This is a good encouragement to the students. Some students’ parents of difficulties at home have also given great support to their children’s travel. From the aspect of society: when we have entered the culture park, the Hui culture park has a very expensive ticket fees that is 80 yuan a person. our students are not wealth in families, is very expensive for us, then we found the culture park’s leaders to consult that our web site may be display to outside to promote Chinese Hui culture park. They agreed to provide us the most preferential treatment after discussing about this. Through this activity, some people also allow us to participate in Digital Park.
