Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Kimlan sauce originally located Taoyuan City, but it in order to expand its operations. So they moved the factory to Taoyuan County Town to expansion larger scale. Kimlan owns seventies above history enterprises also experienced constant innovation. It not only producted diverse, but also established a History Museum. The Museum can let everyone better understand sauce brewing process and Kimlan way coming growth.

2. Summary of Our Project

Almost every family has used the soy sauce to cook. Therefore, the soy sauce is filled with a thick taste of Taiwan. So we use soy sauce as a starting point and has selected the history of the seventies Kimlan soy sauce. Kimlan has sold a long time. They pretty stress natural, and without preservatives for the call. We will make Kimlan as the focal point, and everyone will more understand that this 70 years of good taste.

The school's network environment: The school for a computer lab that can be used about 50. We use the 'new-generation backbone network in Taoyuan District, local area network of academic institutions 10MB'. This allows us to significantly increase the speed of information technology and inquiries. Members of the network environment: Members of their family have their own personal computer. Even though each team is at home, they can also use instant messaging or e-mail to continue to research, work, and timely return on their work progress.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

The collection of web material is not easy. Web production also makes us feel a bit difficult. And the data integration part of the information that we can achieve is limited. So we in order to enrich the content, we are really very hard in the search warrant. Sometimes the computer will crash, making the information was no more. This is the biggest setback we have suffered.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

We think the International Schools CyberFair can improve our ability and mind. Also, it can let everyone know how exceptional our school.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

We personally visit with Kimlan to negotiate issues. We also design questionnaires that make us to learn a lot with the people's response. In the actual operation of the computer, we combine a variety of computer resources. It can brought into play the use of substantially all of the content of the class.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

We use computers, mobile phones, cameras, video camera, voice recorder, scanner, printer and many applications, including better use than a computer, which makes us search in the data have a greater help.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

To make everyone understand Kimlan business, we contact the planning department of the Young Director of the scheduled itinerary well. We visit Kimlan operation of the plant as well as the Museum hosts history. In addition to visiting, we are also personally a questionnaire survey. In the hope that study of this topic, so that everyone apart from a better understanding of the production of soy sauce. And make everyone know Kimlan deeper .

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Through a questionnaire survey this event, we will not only understand the public's perception of Kimlan, but also allows the public a better understanding of this enterprise. We will also survey the public to express their recommendations to the Kimlan. So as to not only we understand this problem reasons, but also through our website to the public's suspicions are resolved. It is able to stimulate people to love nature in this matter concern.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

We really glad to thank Mr. Yang, who is a director of Kimlan business. With his help ,we can get more important information. We also thank the community residents eager to help us in completing the questionnaires.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

With others, we learn how to do effective communication. Also, we learned that in the limited time to do the most efficient distribution of work. And there are well prepared in advance to learn important.
