Therefore, our monographic research gave an opportunity for our students to use their knowledge in practice and learn experience beside textbooks.

2. Summary of Our Project

This activity is the best practice lesson for the students in our professional high school. Some of the students major in computer, some in tourism; this kind of social practice is something totally new. The most exiting part is that the students gained social abilities, upgraded their ideological and ethnical standards, better their masters on knowledge through this experience. They are not satisfied by having a look of the outside world, they want to participate more; they not only provide written materials, but also emphasize on the social influence of their activities.

3. Our Computer and Internet Access

A. Percentage of students using the Internet at home:less than 20

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:none

C. Connection speed used in the classroom:dial-up modem

D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:2-3

E. Additional comments concerning your computer and/or Internet access (Optional):

Our school and families use ADSL to access the internet. Among four team members, only one teacher can access the internet at home. Computer Center for students in our school can't provide stable internet access, so we finished our work mostly on the computers in teachers' office, where the internet was comparatively stable.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

Unstable internet service Plan in advance, upgrade our work efficiency, and combine online and offline editing Eventually there would always be a way. Students were not familiar with Dreameaver8 and didn't know how to make web pages. Learning by doing, and find help from teachers Learned to master the Dreameaver8 Insufficient funds for interviews outside of school Partly financed by our school, partly by ourselves Get financial support as much as we can before activities; save every penny in the process. Lack of time for team activities Take full advantage of weekends and holidays Carefully arrange our plans H1N1 Flu spreads in Cangxi County, which added the difficulties of our interviews Reinforce safety precautions As long as our precautions are tight, it is OK.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Cangxi is a beautiful place with long history of harmonious development of various ethnic groups. The dwellings changed dramatically over thousand-year development. As a concretionary art and a carrier of culture, dwelling influences one generation after another in Cangxi and reflects the level of social productivity. The evolution of Cangxi dwelling deeply touched our heart, and so we tried our best to record this change and introduce it to our friends all over the world.

Though we don't have strong support and high research level, we did pass our strengths to our Cangxi colleges, especially to our schoolmates. During last several months, in order to achieve our common goal, we sacrificed a lot, but we gained much more.
