Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Ningxia zhongning county, farmland beautiful changshantoutian lake Our description of the plan. The lake is located at the dry area in the middle of the ningxia, with the mountains around. Mibo mountain to the west, river bank to the east, ningnan mountainous area to the south, and zhongning county the homeland of gouqi. Zhongbao railways and 109 highway and communication network is across.

2. Summary of Our Project

The total area is 0.45 million mu. In which the water accounts for 20000 muand willow 25000 mu. It is the biggest and original area. inside the protection are there are red willow, luweui, gouqi etc 83 plants. With the site area there are birds 72 kinds, forming the whole system. Protection of the bird, it plays the key role to balance.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

The difficulties we met. Including the tech hard, language, expert we have not enough time to finish the work, also the students has the weak basis on the operating the computer. So there is no such experience. Teachers should teach the students how to process the webpage. Finally finish the work.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

More and more people start to know the protection area, the homeland and rich tour material for the economic development. In this activity, the teachers and students knows more about the homeland and its beauty. We will love it more than before. The relation and ability will get the enhancement.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Our project is relate to some biology,school subjects,such as geography,biology.

1) What information tools & technologies did you used to complete your CyberFair project?

we mainly investigate ourselves, asking the local citizens. We use the tool to get the first-hand material. After finishing the webpage match, we mainly use the hardware: computer, camera, recorder, scanner, flash, notebook, software: dreamweaver, photoshop, word, IE, ACDSEE, FTP, internet, E-mail, BBS.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

All the students are from the district, in the mission of the introducing the characters. We have two students around the tian lake. So they knows many resources.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Our time is not that longer, maybe not all people knowing it. But this is the terrace to the publicity. With the time going more and more people start to know it and about the western area and homeland.

4) How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?

Our students will visit the local people and learn about the local history,legends and geography.

5) Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises (Optional)

Finding, lesson, and surprise 1)we never find that northern china has so much bird. Because the environment is not good, so the birds cannot cover the sky as the TV shows. 2)We are surprised to see the ostrich from Africa
