Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Our school is located at the jinfeng district liangtian town in ningxia area, far away from yinchuan city area 25 miles, belonging to yimindiaozhuang area. the yuquanying grape land mentioned in the themed locates in yongning county, 10 miles from school.

2. Summary of Our Project

The people living in the city are all busy every days. They have seldom chance to feel the country life, touching closely into the nature. Many places come out as the nature life tour of farmhouse leisure series. In the magic eastern area of helan mountain, there is such a part of the land, where is full of smell with the spring, it si the yuquanying grape land at yuquanying area in yinchuan city in ningxi. Owing to this theme, we hope to visit there, experiencing, looking the brewing, and introduce the beautiful land. I hope I can make the contribution to the populous for the homeland.

We just have one computer room for internet. Owing to many class and time problems, we can only go to use it for material s at daybreak and after school in the afternoon. Though the school is available in internet, the speed is low through the server, especially when other computers in the office.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

First, we are all in grade nine. With the high burden and tight time, it is a problem to finish the webpage without delaying the normal study. Every noon we all don’t go back home, we used the noon break and after school. At this time no class using the computer room. Many of us prefer to work , sometimes taking bread. It is heavy duty with the tight time. Second, the facility is less. There is only one camera in school, sometimes we need to borrow, but when it is used, we have to wait. Finally, one teacher can solve the problems by taking one from the school. Third, every year the august is the yuquanying festival. But when we decide the theme it is already September, missing the festival and experiencing. But the staff at the farmland provides some material to make up the loss of the festival. Forth, the program we can use is less. Owing to the far at the school, we can computer classes at 2006 and internet at 2008. In our primary school, there is no computer lesson, let alone at home. Our basic is nearly to zero. The only program is Office. Though, our teacher teaches us patiently. Sometimes it is difficult. But we work together to learn how to use the Dreamweaver, Photoshop with the help of the teachers. Teacher helps us when we cannot to do.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

Looking back to the tight 2 months, we experienced a lot and meet many experiences, but when we see the webpage finished, we are all satisfied with those worthwhile. We have a precious experience, not only learn many knowledge unlearned, but also the most confidence. We are all from the country and not good at the talking. With the help and encouragement of the teachers, we bravely interview the staff, grower, visitors and teaching us learn the communication. We are proud of introducing the beautiful land, making the contribution to publicize the homeland.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Theme combining with the 9 years compulsory teaching and school course Taking the yuquanying grape land as the main line, we not only combine the history, geography, art, culture, computer and society, but also nurture the ability of photo, searching, selecting the useful information. On this way , we feel that if without the good cooperation and communication ability, we cannot finish the webpage.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

We are all from the country and not good at the talking. With the help and encouragement of the teachers, we bravely interview the staff, grower, visitors and teaching us learn the communication. We are proud of introducing the beautiful land, making the contribution to publicize the homeland.

3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Ning xia has long history, where has the brilliant history of xixia dynasty, which is named as the “ saishangjiangnan, yumizhixiang” . In those xixia wangling, shahu, shapotou, it is known by others, we hope we can show the other side of area and beautiful scene through our sight. Through the research of the plan, we experience the pleasure of picking grape and visiting the brewing, which open the horizon and learning new knowledge. We can nurture the communication ability and have chance to practice and help the confidence. More importantly, we nurtured the group spirit. After finishing the work, we trust that: we can do!
