Project Overview

1. Description of Our Community

Jian Ge county is located in north edge of Si Chuan basin, north part of Long Men mountain, west bank of Jiang Ling river, the area covers 3200 sqm. And population is 700 thousand. Connect with San Qin from north part and south part to San Ba, it’s the main street to Qin and Shu, used to called as “throat of Si Chuan, and the lock of Shu’s gate”. Jian Ge mountain is wonderful, nice place with preeminence people, from 300 B.C. start to built the city there, Jian Ge started to be famous with its agriculture, honest folkway well known in Si Chuan. As Jian Men Shu’s road to be the main scenery area of the China, Jia Ge had pointed more and more with its scenery recourse. Jian Men pass has high city walls, cypress in Cui Yun Lang had already 800 years; Zhu Ge in Han dynasty and the site of emperor of Tang Ming Huang still there, Tian Gong in Ming dynasty and Han Lin garden in Qing dynasty are still there, 3 kindoms war still can find from history book, Li Bai and Lu You’s poem, still can listen. Agriculture culture in north part of Si Chuan mixed with Shu’s road culture, 3 kindoms site as longitude and custom scenery as for woof, has took 300 sqm. Scenery area with the leader of Jian Men passes. Our project for the match is “Jian Men Shu’s road”, base on the vigour of Jian Men pass and glory scenery of 72 peaks in Jian Men, search for history culture of 3 kindoms, to let more and more people recognize Jian Men’s scenery, to understand the history of Jian Men in 3 kindoms.

2. Summary of Our Project

Our project topic is “Jian Men Shu’s road”, we would like to go through with Jian Men pass as “one person guard, thoudsand people can’t go through”, to let more pople understand Jian Men pass, understand our home town’s beautiful scenery. Inside the web-site, we have 3 parts: Jian Men Shu’s road natural scenery, Jian Men pass’s special “pass” culture, history 3 kindoms culture. After we knew more and more about our hometown, we do strongly hope to let more people know it. Internet gives us the opportunity to acchevie our target, this is our origin power to build the web-site. Meanwile thru this action, had made our aftershcool time more richeness, improve cordination ability of team work for students, and let us know well about our home town, to love our home town.

Our shool used ADSL connection way, and since this year our school is on building, so internet situaion was not good, even couldn’t get online some times, so made us some small un-conviniant when we design the web-site.

4. Problems We Had To Overcome

As because students age are too young and less knowlage, during the period of building web-site, we used to face may problems such as time, living, tech., but after we work, we all go through. a) The most difficuties we faced is us. Because we used to traditional learning way, and still not have the ability of information choosen and organazation. Face to make the plan for this web-site, nobody tell us how to do. We have to make the plan initiative, collect and clean up all informaiton according to the plan, we had tried many way. After we adjust one by one, even we feel tired but we got many expenrience, and we growth with the opus. b) Time part, we have only 2 month to plan and build the web-site, and some daily affairs from school, totally we just have a little more than 1 month to do, so we did really have tight time. We used all holidays and weekends to make it out, in our heart, we felt it’s a fantastic job. c) Living part, most students are from village, no matter for interview or other parts, but students didn’t have enough money to afford. So in living part, students faced many difficuties. We had try our best, and make every plan come true. d) Tech. part, since students age and knowlage, during built web-site period, our tech. knowlage are not enough, especially we knew too less on web-site tech. But we didn’t urge for tech., our wishes is to promote beautiful scenery to people thru internet, we got it in the end.

5. Our Project Sound Bite

During the period of making the web-site, we used to face many difficuties, but after we cordinate we had achieve every target. Although we felt tired, but happy too, because we found a lot sunny when we see the web-site getting finish.

6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?

Learned more than in the school After we learn, we knew geognosy of Jian Men pass, and special scenery, especially 3 kindom’s history, every stone here have its affecting story. We also learned how to make plan for a complicate job, and follow to make it come true. Learned how to coorporate, many people work together to make the job done that would never done by one person, this is team spirit.

A. Tech. equipment: Cell phone: Connection between team members when doing interview outside, and contact with home. Computer: Building web-site, compose words information, edit picture Printer: Print out all words information. U disk: Save and tranport all information.

2) In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.

Busy school life. After join this action, we have to finish work with all time afterschool. Some times we had meeting, some times have to finish won job, some times teacher will bring us to outside take picture. We also feel tired sometiems, but always feel time is not enough. B. Learned more than in the school After we learn, we knew geognosy of Jian Men pass, and special scenery, especially 3 kindom’s history, every stone here have its affecting story. We also learned how to make plan for a complicate job, and follow to make it come true. 3) What has been the impact of your project on your community?

Many teacher and pupil began to learn the knowledge of the Jian men and Shu kingdom.They know this is their treasure.
